You can’t really walk to/from the Borgata, there aren’t any sidewalks around there.
You can stay at Harrah’s which is really close to the Borgata. I did a search for this Saturday night and it’s $229 for a Harbor Deluxe room (as opposed to the $399 Borgata is charging). A “deluxe” room at the Trump Marina (also near the Borgata) is $169 for the same night.
There’s a bunch of hotels in Absecon, which is only 3 miles away from Atlantic City. My parents found this hotel: It’s only $89 for that night.
