I’ve lived here all my life, Grant park is in Downtown, Downtown Hotels are pricey, Period!!
your best bet. get a hotel in near one of the train lines and then just hop the train ( Blue line) to Grant park.

i would also like to add, since this is most definitely regarding lollapalooza, that you should book REALLY soon or you are going to be screwed
thousands come to the city for lolla and hotels go SO fast you wouldn’t believe it

Call the Palmer House, they always have good deals. Wabash and Monroe, it’s a Hilton.
