Go to priceline.com and click the choose your price option. You can select the area you want to be in and type in the amount of $ you are willing to pay. They will then notify you if a hotel has agreed to your terms. If they do you have to pay for it right then and there. You can not cancel (but can buy an insurance policy for emergency situations). Typically you can’t get a room until a short time before the trip.
We did this in Chicago and stayed on the Magnificent Mile (typically $200 a night plus) and paid $100 a night. We didn’t get a hotel to accept our price until two days before our trip.

Look for package deals Flight+Hotels. Check sites like Southwest Airlines Vacation, Travelocity, Priceline and Orbitz.
Also make sure there are no major events the week you are planning to be in Vegas. That will usually make room prices to sky rocket.

Stay at the Gold Coast Casino across the street and just hang out at the Palms.

Search here for cheap hotels
It provides search option like near a landmark etc
But beware … cheap hotels can be trouble some times so check reviews of the hotel you are going to book.
Check the exact location of hotel from google maps.
