Do you get good service at the hotel when you book through hotels.com?

I work for a certain hotel chain that hotels.com often books through. We definitely do NOT compromise the room if you booked at that cheaper rate (after-all the rate you booked at with hotels.com is loaded with terms and conditions that our hotels don’t and furthermore; usually are non-cancelable rates).
So if you are NOT certain of your plans and/or don’t know if something may come up, do not book with them as all of their rates are non-cancelable.)
It doesn’t matter if your mom dies to them and you need to get a refund. I have talked to many guests who are up the creek without a paddle because they booked through a 3rd party source and can’t cancel even though extenuating circumstances are taking place.
