Try Vegas.com
Look for something off the strip. The further off the strip the cheaper.

Go to Cheapo Vegas
They have a map of vegas, both on and off strip and of old downtown vegas.
They have links to every casino website, where you can go directly to each website to check on the lowest rates available.

I find fairly good prices on Travelocity and then I go to the individual casino’s website to see if they offer a better price. I also sign up for email promotions from my favorite casinos. Try the South Coast casino - it’s on Las Vegas Blvd but way past Mandalay Bay. The hotel rooms are very, very nice (big with a flat screen tv) and the rates are very reasonable.

Define cheap. Most hotels triple their rates on Fridays and Saturdays because they can. Those that are $70-$129 during the week are often over $250 on the weekends.

Go to priceline.com and put your own price in. I was able to get a 4 star resort for about $75 a night once. Of course, it was off the strip but still close enough for me to get there with no problems.
