I am planning a weekend trip to NYC for me and two friends for a weekend in November. I am looking for the cheapest & best way to get there (ie greyhound, train, drive, fly). I am worried about parking, but I don’t want to make a 8 hour drive a 13 hour drive by taking the bus cause it cost about the same.

I am also looking for a cheap hotel, but one that is still nice. Essentially we will just be sleeping there. Has anyone ever heard of the New York Y?

oh yea, plus they say that your requests arent guaranteed–so you can be charged for the hotel and then get there and they dont have nonsmoking, king sized, etc
